about

On the 8th January 2020 i started to create the first of 12 new song ideas. I had no idea what the year would have in store for the world.

For the next 2 months I spent hours upon hours every day and night in the music room working on these song ideas. This creativity started to develop into an exciting new project.

Then as the month of March arrived it was very apparent that lockdown was going to occur in London due to the pandemic. Almost overnight i decided to stay with my family further away from London for the foreseeable future so that i could help shield them. For the next 3 months i didn't have access to any of my equipment or instruments.

It was initially a time where i was eager to work on the songs due to intensely working on the project every day before the lockdown. I started to intentionally take my mind away from the music by reading more and educating myself, knowing that eventually i could work on the 12 songs again at some stage.

Finally at the beginning of June i had access to my equipment and instruments again, in some strange way it gave me a chance to work on the songs again with a whole new fresh approach and perspective. I welcomed this new pastime of making music again in lockdown. Since June 2020 i have developed the songs into pieces of music that fit together more as an album.

Being further away from the city was a blessing, i appreciated there was no rush to finish the songs and to make something much more special and unique when the opportunity arrived to work on them again.

A fresh appreciation of nature has been key for me in terms of establishing a certain sound.

I'm incredibly proud of the outcome, i hope you can enjoy what i have been trying to create and capture over these last 14 months. I want to thank everyone that has provided genuine support leading up to this release. It really does mean a lot.
